Setting: This meditation brings together two texts which the early Marists saw as closely related Mary’s presence among the apostles and disciples at Pentecost, and the description of the early Church. The texts simply tells us that Mary 'was there'.
It seems to be inviting us to use our imaginations - as did the first Marists - to feel Mary's influence on the early Church, and to form a picture of her activity among her new family.
Grace: Ask God for the grace to feel more deeply his great love for you.
Reflect on: The apostles and disciples are perplexed at Jesus’ absence. Since his ascension, the wine of Jesus presence has run out.
