The Marist Spirituality which we inherited from Saint Marcellin is something which needs to be embedded in the real and the now. It is about the way we see the world. It is about the way we live our lives. It is grounded in some concept of the transcendental and the divine.
I think of Marist spirituality as kitchen table spirituality. That way of being and talking about life to me is Marist Spirituality. It is not that it rejects the theoretical. It is just that it assumes that living it practically and making it real is the real essence of the spirit.
I think my spirituality is lived out in the reality of my daily life. It is very much connected to the people that I meet. The experiences that I have. It is about being present and emphatic and listening. Available.
